“Love is an unforgettable thing.” She whispered in his ear before taking his hand in hers. “We are love.” She smiled kissing him softly. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.

“I love you so much Baby Girl.”

“I’ll love you forever Chris. I’ll be right back.” She smiled, heading for the stairs. She stopped abruptly. “Wait, I left it in the car.” She at her forgetfulness and headed out of the door, blowing him a kiss as she left.

In just seconds cacophony roared from outside, partnered with a muffled scream that could’ve belonged to anyone. But deep down he knew who’s it was. When he made it outside, the only person there was her.

Chris ran his fingers across the flowers resting on the grave of his young love. Tears threatened his eyes, trying to remind him of what he gained and how he lost it. Memories flowed through him as vivid as her eyes were in his mind. His eyes stung and his heart swelled with immense pain. He looked up at the gloomy clouds that mimicked his emotions perfectly.

If I could, take a trip, to outer space
She would be the one, I will see
When I get, to heavens gate
She would welcome me with her arms, open wide, and a smile
Will shadow me brighter than the sun
She hasn’t had a fair chance, so I’ll give her one
Let me tell you who she is, yeah

Out of nowhere a ray of light shined down on me from the skies. “Chris…” She whispered. When he turned to her, she was staring at her grave stone. “I’m sorry.” She looked at him, walking up to him. “I’m so sorry.” He wasn’t afraid that she was there, he felt some sort of peace, but it still hurt. When he felt her touch him, the tears teasing his eyes earlier, won, and began to cascade down his cheek like a waterfall. He closed his eyes for a moment, and she kissed them. “I’m okay.” She gave him a reassuring smile.

“Why did they take you from me?” If he wasn’t mistaken, angels could cry because tears were falling down her cheeks now.

            “I love you.”

            “I love you.” He chocked.

            “Will-“

Shh…” She kissed him softly and put something in his left hand.

She’s a fallen angel, sent from heaven up above
She’s a fallen angel, waitin for me to love her, yeah
(Know that she’s) She’s a fallen angel, take your judgment off her
I know, that she’s a fallen angel

“Chris I…I don’t want you to cry anymore. I need you to help me…one last time.” Those words burned his soul. One last time.

I should
Help her mend, her broken wings
So she can fly again
But I don’t, wanna lose everything that I’ve gained
Title me a selfish man (oh)
Cause without em my heart just don’t go, no more (no more)
I couldn’t take the pain, from watchin her fly away
So say that you’ll stay
She’s my…

“I don’t want you to leave me.” His eyes pained her. They knocked her back into reality and she held his left hand tighter.

“I’m running out of time, and you don’t have a choice baby. I can’t let you hurt  like this.”

Don’t you
Baby don’t you (don’t you worry) worry
I’m gon help you (I’m gon help you ) fly
(I’m gon help you fly)
Just take me under yo (take me under) wings,
And we can reach the (we can reach the) sky
(we can reach the sky)
Baby don’t you (don‘t you worry) worry,
I’m gon help you (I’m gon help you ) fly
(I’m gon help you fly)
Yo mama, don’t you (take me under) worry
you gon reach the (we can reach the) sky
(we can reach the sky)

“You can forget me.” She offered him what he viewed as nonsense. She was basically asking to take his heart away.

“No.” He spoke coldly and quickly.

“I don’t want you to hurt anymore. I can’ let you…”

He grabbed her hand, begging with his entire being for her to stay. “I love you.” She gave him that angelic smile that warmed his heart. She kissed his forehead, and put her hand over his heart.

Baby I know
I know that they done hurt you
But I’m here
Let’s take it all away
So if you let me…
You know what, just put your heart in my hands
And everything they say, I take it back
Like this…

She was gone so quickly. He felt pain in his heart, die down. It was going away. She took him from himself. Made him believe…that…

You don’t mean nothing,
I don’t want ya,
I don’t need ya,
Never loved ya,
You’re nobody,
You ‘ll never make it
You’re a mistake (ooh)

He looked up, no light. Within seconds, his heart was gone…

The End
